The requirements, workings, deadlines and consequences of non-compliance with the College’s Continuing Competence Program.

Topics will include applicable information about the Health Professions Act, Regulation, Health Information Act, Occupational Health and Safety, and any other relevant provincial or federal legislation.

Topics in this mandatory program include sexual abuse and sexual misconduct, professional boundaries and therapeutic relationships and professional communication.

Topics include professional communication, dealing with difficult patients and colleagues, and importance and strategies for “excellence in customer service.”

Topics include what is unprofessional conduct, the complaints and disciplinary hearing process, and consequences and penalties for unprofessional conduct.

This Module covers the importance of self-regulation, College’s mandate and responsibilities, bylaws, council, committees and policies.
